Eli Dreyer attends Lafayette High School in the Pre-Engineering program, mostly striving in the science and math areas. In the past, he has been awarded the Certificate of Merit in the Engineering Area, The National Junior Beta Club Award, The Leadership Award, and The Citizenship Award. Additionally, Eli performs with the Central Kentucky Youth Orchestra and is a member of the Kentucky Ambassador’s of Music Program with whom he has been invited to tour Europe in the summer of 2016.
Eli found Newton’s Attic after searching for an engineering program that actually challenged him. He loved it so much that, starting as a student, moved up to a volunteer and eventually was offered a job as a camp counselor. In the winter of 2012, Eli built his own 3D printer from a kit he ordered on line and inspired Newton’s Attic to put him to work building a much larger 3D printer for the shop. After graduating from the Pre-Engineering Program at Lafayette High School, he hopes to pursue a career as a pilot.
